At the invitation of the Director of the College of Tourism, Svetlana Alexandrovna Antonova, in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation previously signed from 27 to 30 November 2018, a business visit of a delegation from the College of Tourism and Hospitality of the Almaty City Administration of Education (Kazakhstan) took place in order to discuss future cooperation plans and visiting the IV Regional World Skills Russia Championship at the EXPOFORUM Exhibition and Convention Center.

As part of the program, meetings with the college administration, visits to the laboratories, training workshops, training Hotel Yunost, Restaurant, methodological and educational departments, and an employment assistance center were organized.

For our guests, a bus tour of St. Petersburg and a trip to the Peterhof State Museum were held, during which they got acquainted with the main tourist attractions and the process of organizing sightseeing services for tourist groups in the training workshop Travel Agency " Lyceum-Travel “, an organization system of outdoor classes for additional general and professional programs.

Our colleagues showed particular interest in the organization of competitive sites for competencies: “Hotel Administration”, “Restaurant Service”, “Tourism”, “Cooking”, and the system of preparing students for the Championship.

During the discussion of plans for the development of international cooperation, the parties agreed to exchange proposals for participation in competitions of professional skills in the art of cooking and hotel business, scheduled for March-April 2019.
