On March 20th, 2025, the students of groups 227 and 222 under the guidance of the English teachers Shamraeva Inna and Sadovskaya Lera of Saint Petersburg College of Tourism and Applied Technologies, belonged to Tourism and Applied Technologies Department, participated in the response informative and educational webinar, dedicated to «10 REGIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA», which was arranged and prepared by the International Cooperation partners from Yerevan State College of Humanities.
The colleagues and the students of Yerevan State College of Humanities prepared a response training video content in English about the regions of the Republic of Armenia, which have both historical and cultural significance for the country. The students shared in their video about the most important corners of their country – the marzes (regions), surprised with the beauty of nature, told about the historical and cultural sites – about fortresses, monasteries, caves (Bird Cave (Areni), which is considered the oldest winery), the legendary Armenian Mount Ararat and much more. It is worth noting that the dialogue between the two sides was lively, informative and positive. Despite the fact that the training webinar was in English, the students of both Colleges communicated, exchanged opinions and impressions with pleasure.
For the students from St. Petersburg College of Tourism and Applied Technologies these webinars and video contents are very necessary and useful. Such meetings help them to improve two sides of their professional and practical skills: firstly, the information they receive about countries will allow them to select new destinations for their tour projects as they are going to get a diploma with the future qualification “a tourism specialist”, fill tour projects with numerous historical and cultural attractions of the location, expand and vary travel routes; secondly, it is a good practical educational method of gaining the English language communication skills – a way to stimulate motivation to learn and speak English, and a source of getting rid of the language barrier.
To sum up, the atmosphere of the webinar was joyful, fun and educational. We look forward to further International Cooperation.
